Leadership Summit 2013

NFBPA 2013 Logo

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Austin is recognized as “the” place to live, work and play. A rich history as the Music Capital of the World, numerous higher educational offerings and growing recognition as a technology hub has all contributed to unprecedented growth in the Austin metro area.

Furthermore, Austin was on the short list of cities to recover quickly from the national recession due to its strategically diversified economy.

In order to prepare our city for the future, it is imperative that Austin trains and retains public administrators capable of managing complex interrelated issues within their professions.

NFBPA was established to sharpen the skills and capabilities of a talented core of managers and administrators who have already demonstrated superior achievement in the profession and are ready to ascend to the next level.

The Central Texas Chapter of NFBPA is excited to host Leadership Summit 2013: The New Normal: Equipping Today’s Public Administrators for Tomorrow’s Challenges.

The summit will feature a series of workshops, forums, panels and keynote speeches which will address complex issues within in our communities today and provide the tools and strategies that can used to effectively manage these issues.

We know you will leave Leadership Summit 2013 enriched, informed, and prepared to meet the challenges ahead.

For our visiting attendees, do not miss the opportunity to experience all that Austin has to offer. From music and entertainment, to dining and shopping, and the breadth of our cultural vitality, there are places to go, people to meet, and unique things to see in Austin, Texas.
